Paul Lambert has called on his side to put the defeat to Swansea behind them as they travel to Watford tonight (7.45pm).

The 3-0 reverse at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday cut the gap between City in second and the chasing pack to just a point with six games to play, but the Canaries are yet to lose back-to-back games with the Scot at the helm and he is looking for a reaction at Vicarage Road this evening.

‘They’ll be hurting but we’re not going to dwell on it and fester,’ Lambert told canaries.co.uk. ‘Ok we’ve been beat, but you pick yourselves up and you go again, which we’ve always done.

‘At the time it is disappointing because you’ve lost the game, but you’ve got to remind yourself that we’re still sitting in second after 40 games.

‘If you said that to me at the start of the season after this many games I would have absolutely taken that – the rise has been huge.’

Lambert reported no new injury concerns ahead of the game, so the only doubt is Wes Hoolahan who is struggling to shake off a hamstring injury.
