Celtic manager, Neil Lennon has moved to deny rumours linking him with the Norwich City manager’s job and also with a bid for City winger, Robert Snodgrass.
Lennon was seen and photographed with City fans at the Fulham game in mid-week and the links were obvious to make.
Yesterday, the Daily Record suggested Lennon wanted Snodgrass, a lifelong Celtic fan but had baulked at City’s £6m asking price.
Lennon commented after yesterdays game at Motherwell:
‘There’s nothing in that (the Snograss rumour) I’m going to get linked with a lot of players but I’m not going to talk about players who are contracted to other clubs.’
He also denied rumours linking him as a possible replacement for Chris Hughton, should Hughton lose his job at Carrow Road.
He added: ‘It’s just speculation, but I think they won (against Hull City) so I’m delighted for Chris. I think he’ll be safe for another while.
‘He’s doing a good job there and keeping them out of the bottom three.
‘I cannot help the speculation, I’m flattered but he’s a good man and a good manager in that job so good luck to him.’
Neil Lennon? What do we think?
