Norwich City are represented in the latest League Cup team of the round that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by James Maddison in the first round tie between Norwich City and Swindon Town was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the League Cup competition.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Maddison was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the EFL Cup blurb read.

‘Two assists, one goal, and a goal-line clearance. Not a bad evening`s work for Maddison, who was influential in Norwich`s dramatic 3-2 success against Swindon Town.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Maddison for his recognition, but the most important thing was of course the win.
