Middlesbrough will sign Jonny Howson from Norwich barring any late issues, says Press Association journalist, Nick Mashiter.
Speculation has been mounting in the last 24 hours that ‘Boro are very keen to complete a deal to take Howson to the Riverside and in a tweet this morning, Nick Mashiter has said:
“Barring any late hitches, Middlesbrough have won the race for Norwich`s Jonny Howson. #mfc #ncfc”
Mashiter has been thoroughly reliable in his tweets regarding Norwich City this summer, so it is looking likely that City will sell both Howson and Graham Dorrans in the coming days. Mashiter also says that McGovern, Wildschut and Jarvis remain surplus to requirements.
As an aside to that, a mate of mine saw Remi Matthews the other evening and spoke with him, he told my mate that Norwich want him to stay at Carrow Road this season.
