Norwich City’s Josh Murphy are represented in the League Cup Team of the Tournament that has been selected after this weekend’s Final between Arsenal and Manchester City.

The performances by Josh Murphy in Norwich City’s EFL Cup run this season was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the League Cup competition.

I think we’ll already know ourselves why Murphy was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the EFL Cup blurb read.

‘Murphy is the current joint-top scorer in this season`s Carabao Cup, after hitting four goals in four games. He netted two against Charlton Athletic, and another against Brentford set up a trip to Arsenal, where he netted once more as the Canaries bowed out. The 22-year-old now has nine in 12 appearances in the competition throughout his career.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Murphy for their recognition.
