Norwich City are represented in the latest League Cup team of the round that has been selected after the round two action last midweek.

The performance by Josh Murphy in the four one victory over Charlton Athletic last midweek was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the League Cup competition.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Murphy was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the EFL.com blurb read.

‘Norwich edged past Swindon in the Round One, and they may have thought they were in for another testing night when Charlton Athletic took an early lead at Carrow Road. But Murphy made sure that wasn’t the case with a majestic performance, scoring twice and creating another in a 4-1 win for the Canaries.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Murphy for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
