Norwich City have been drawn away to Brentford in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

The draw took place in the early hours of Thursday morning in China, 4.15am to be precise, when most sensible fans in the U.K will have been asleep, I know I was.

Anyway, the ties will take place in the week commencing Monday 18th September and this game, for Norwich, will be sandwiched between the away match at Sheffield United on September 16th and the home game with Bristol City on September 23rd.

The third round will also see some of the Premier League clubs that were involved in European Qualifiers enter the competition.

Exact date/time and ticketing details will be announced in due course in the coming days.

  • An away match against a team that is beatable. The draw could have been a lot worse than this,it gives the club a chance to advance further into this competition. At this stage there really aren’t many easy teams left,at least it’s not against opposition that the club would think they had no chance of beating.Put out a full strength side and try and advance to round 4 where things could begin to get very interesting and fill the fans with dreams.
