Reports north of the border had linked Brellier with a move to Norfolk once his contract expires this summer. However, new assistant boss Duffy has stated that although he is aware of the midfielder`s situation, a move for the 25-year-old has not been mentioned – for now.

Duffy said: “I believe his contract is up at the end of the year but I haven’t discussed Brellier with Peter. I`m not saying things won’t change once we do sit down. But at this moment in time his name hasn’t been mentioned.”

The Frenchman has had two years at Scotland and despite being highly rated by many he has been a victim of some Vladimir Romanov treatment – just like one time Canary target Stephen Pressley. It seems a shame what is going on at Hearts, they came close to providing some competition for the Old Firm and Romanov appears to be undoing all their good work. Although if it means we get some of their better players, who am I to complain?

One thing that does seem certain in this transfer saga is that Brellier will be leaving the Scottish Premier League side this summer. What is not certain is his destination, Carrow Road is a possibility, but for the time being Jim Duffy has cooled talk of a move for the former Inter Milan star.
