The hero of the night was James Maddison as he fired a 20 yard pile driver into the top bin of Darren Randolph’s goal last night as City beat Middlesbrough 0-1.

That spectacular strike was enough to decide the match as the Canaries’ defensive resilience saw them notch their fifth clean sheet in a row.

After the game, Head Coach Daniel Farke was asked about Maddison’s goal and joked ‘Yeah, it was okay!’

A short time later, Maddison spoke to Canaries.co.uk

‘The boss said it was okay? I`ll take that. That`s a very good compliment from the boss!”

“It`s one of the best I`ve scored to be honest. I know it`s a cliché but as long as it helps towards to the three points, that`s the main thing. To top it off with a nice goal is always special.”

It was a bit special James, take a bow son.

If you haven’t seen it yet, assuming you might not have been one of the hardy Canary nation who travelled, just under 500 of them, here’s the goal courtesy of Sky Sports

The Boss is right, it’s okay isn’t it!?
