A Fan’s View Of Daniel Farke’s Wycombe Presser

|

As is now the norm, Vital Norwich Forum  stalwart, FC Bears talks us through the key points of this week’s press conference from Daniel Farke ahead of Saturday’s home game against Wycombe Wanderers.

You’d hope this would be another 3 points, but this is one of those ‘along came Norwich’ games.

Wycombe no win all season –

13 Goals conceded
1 goal scored

That is terrible, surely we will win and win big?? They would be bottom if not for Sheffield Wednesday’s points deduction.

Anyway who will be the injured Norwich player this week? Will Zimmermann be back and if so does he come back in or the bench only? Sorensen (does he exist) is fit so will he get on the bench?

So, Zimmermann is still out (We all knew he was an injury risk) – He might be back for Brentford but they will have to see, he isn’t recovering as expected.

Pukki was not 100% but will be okay for tomorrow after having a day off due to cramp. DF describes Zimmermann’s injury as ‘a bit strange.’
DF says that Zimmermann was originally going to be out for around five days but it’s now been going on for three weeks and they need to re-scan him. Marco Stiepermann was very sick on Tuesday. He is okay now but not to start the game.
DF says that he is pretty pleased with the contribution of Todd Cantwell against Birmingham and that his pressing to win the ball back was good. He adds that Todd’s mindset is much better now – good!
DF bigs up Wycombe a bit, mentioning Akinfenwa in particular as a threat, he says that Reading were lucky to beat them.
DF says that he is pleased that Lukas Rupp has proven his doubters wrong, adding that he (Farke) knows how to judge a player properly. Finally there is praise for both Ollie Skipp and Mario Vrancic, says he has an excellent relationship with Mario.
So how would you go? Here’s the team I’d pick:

Krul

Aarons
Hanley
Gibson
Xavi

Skipp
Rupp

Cantwell
Vrancic
Emi

Idah
Thoughts?
