Dean Ashton will be hoping to play a big part in the vital U21 second leg play-off clash against France tonight.
It was a record crowd for an England Under-21 fixture on Friday as nearly 35,000 fans crammed into White Hart Lane for this crucial play-off encounter.
Dean Ashton came on as a substitute and seemed to bring the spark that England Needed.
Ashton was on the end of a Carlton Cole cross but he scuffed his shot and was going wide but Darren Ambrose was in the right place at the right time to turn Ashton’s wide shot into the back of the net.
Although Taylor will start with Cole and Bent he said Ashton will be the man he will turn to if things aren?t going England’s way.
