The 2011/2012 Barclays Premier League fixtures have been released, and although we’re not allowed to publish the fixture list in full due to licensing reasons we can tell you that the first game of the season sees the Canaries travel to the DW Stadium to meet Wigan Athletic.

It may not be the glamour tie many people would have hoped for (that comes later in the month) but would certainly be a fixture logged in the ‘winnable’ category.

The Latics opened up at home to newly-promoted Blackpool last season and were duly spanked 4-0 by Ian Holloway’s side.

City’s last visit to Wigan was during the 2003/2004 Championship winning season, when a goal from Iwan Roberts earned the Canaries a 1-1 draw.

The first home game of the season is against Stoke City on 20th August, but to view City’s 2011/2012 Barclays Premier League fixtures in full, check out the official site.
