Chadwick’s out again

According to the official website, Chadwick is ready for a scan on a suspected torn thigh muscle that he suffered in training. The scan will presumably provide a more accurate assessment on how long the player will be out for.

The 26-year-old has a suffered an injury nightmare since arriving from Stoke City and it seems it’s not a nightmare that’s going to end any time soon. Peter Grant believes he will find out more on the injury later on today.

Grant said: :’Chadwick has had a bit of a blow. We think he’s maybe torn a muscle in his thigh. We don’t know that, so we’ll get it scanned.’

I was actually hoping that given Chadwick’s non-involvement in Monday night’s reserve game, that he might be involved from the start against Hull on Thursday. That could very well have been the case, but certainly isn’t anymore. Get well soon Chadders.

The injury pile-up couldn’t really have come at a worse time for us, we’ve got two games in four days and half the squad out on loan so we are certainlty down to the bare bones – here’s a run down of the latest injury news from around Carrow Road.

Dion Dublin: Dion could potentially miss out over the Easter period having turned over on his ankle during the horror show against Colchester on Saturday.

Adam Drury: Having missed the defeat at Layer Road, the Skipper could return to the starting line up for the trip to the KC Stadium. The full back had been suffering with a similar injury to that of Dublin, but is hopeful ha can return to the side on Friday. We need him back as well, we look much more solid with Lappin in front of Drury on the left hand side.

Chris Brown: Almost a forgotten man, Brown is struggling to make the next couple of games. He is having problems with his back and could be out of action for at least a couple of weeks yet.

Jurgen Colin: Apparently struggling with a groin injury and set to miss out once again. Another game at right back for Andy Hughes then – fantastic.

Dickson Etuhu: Dickson who missed Saturday’s game will return against Hull having recovered from illness and should replace Mark Fotheringham in the centre of midfield to partner Youssef Safri.

Robert Earnshaw: Could potentially still return this season, all set to come off the bench against Ipswich and score the winner – how good would that be?

So, although Drury and Etuhu seem set to return – Earnie, Brown, Dublin, Colin and of course Chadwick will still be absent from the squad for the Good Friday fixture against Hull City. I’d take a point now for this game, our away form is still questionable although I’d like to think we won’t be as bad as we were at Colchester again straight away. This followed by a victory at Carrow Road against West Brom on Easter Monday and I’ll be a pretty happy bunny.
