Norwich City skipper Grant Holt and Wes Hoolahan have been named in the 2010/11 PFA Championship Team of the Year.

The news was announced at the PFA’s annual award ceremony last night in which Tottenham’s Gareth Bale was named Player of the Year.

GiveMeFootball.com’s review of the team had this to say about Wes Hoolahan:

‘Norwich have been called ‘the Arsenal of the Championship’ and that being the case, Wes Hoolahan is the division’s version of Jack Wilshere. Their midfield styles are very similar and Carrow Road comes alive when Hoolahan goes on one of his mazy runs.

‘He is key to the possession football and flair that has taken Norwich to the brink of the Barclays Premier League, and Wes’s contribution, including a double figure goal return, has been massive.’

And on Grant Holt commented:

‘As skipper and front line striker, big Grant Holt has led by example this season and his recent hat-trick in the crushing 6-0 win over Scunthorpe took his goal tally for the campaign through the 20-goal barrier.

‘After scoring 30 goals as Norwich booked their place back in the npower Championship last season, Holt is once again playing a huge part in helping the Canaries secure back-to-back promotions.’

The team also contains two players each from QPR, Leicester and Swansea, Forest’s Wes Morgan, Ian Harte of Reading and Championship top scorer Danny Graham.

PFA Championship Team of the Year 2010/11:

Paddy Kenny (Queens Park Rangers)
Kyle Naughton (Leicester City)
Ian Harte (Reading)
Ashley Williams (Swansea City)
Wes Morgan (Nottingham Forest)
Adel Taarabt (Queens Park Rangers)
Scott Sinclair (Swansea City)
Andy King (Leicester City)
Wes Hoolahan (Norwich City)
Danny Graham (Watford)
Grant Holt (Norwich)
