Daniel Farke has missed out on the SkyBet manager of the month award, losing to Bristol City’s Lee Johnson, who was judged to have done enough by a panel that contained George Burley.

To be fair to Johnson, his stats for the month were just as decent as Daniel Farke’s, with the Robins also finishing September unbeaten with four wins, two draws, 14 points gained and 13 goals scored.

His club however, have only tasted defeat once in the league this season.

The Canaries were much lower scorers than that but did only concede one league goal.

James Maddison was beaten to the player of the month award by another Robin, Aden Flint. That slightly surprised me as Wolves’ Diego Jota had a storming month with five goals in six games.

However, there is still hope for Madders that he might pick up an award, having been nominated for the ‘Championship goal of the month’ for his super strike against Middlesbrough at the Riverside.

Maddison has been nominated alongside Wolves’ Diego Jota for his break away goal at Millwall and Nottingham Forest’s Mustapha Carayol’s effort against Wolves.

You can watch all three goals and vote for Madders here at Sky Sports

Voting closes at 6pm on Tuesday October 10th.

You know it makes sense, Rodney…
