It`ll be no surprise to any of you that Norwich have reportedly bid £1.7m for Onel Hernandez. This is according to The Sun

You`ll remember that this lad is the Cuban born, German winger who was photographed talking with Daniel Farke in a hotel, around a month ago.

His club, Eintracht Braunschweig, denied any approach at the time and said that the player didn`t have permission to talk to Farke but suggested it was sort of “two old friends catching up” and that their player was in England on holiday, sort of.

That, as we all know was rubbish. Farke was clearly meeting Hernandez and talking Norwich City and a potential transfer – it`s as clear as the day is long.

What this is, is a clear indication that things don`t just happen in a knee jerk type of way at Norwich, or at any football club for that matter and that transfers are arranged months or certainly weeks, before you read about them in the paper or hopefully, on Vital Norwich.

It always makes me chuckle when I`m on my Twitter feed that some City fans seem to wake up and think that Stuart Webber has just twitched into life and decided to buy, or mostly sell, a player.

Yanic Wildschut and Steven Naismith have left the club on loan and that has freed up a certain amount of wage to replace one if not both of them. With Alex Pritchard having been sold for around £11m, there`s surely enough money in the coffers to buy this lad.

He`s quick, he`s strong, doesn`t have the best scoring record but it looks like we`re serious about signing him.
