Leicester City are in pole position to sign James Maddison according to the Press Association journalist, Nick Mashiter.
The 21-year-old midfielder is the jewel in Norwich City’s crown after a breakthrough season in 2017/18 that saw him end up as top scorer with 15 goals.
I think there is little doubt that this boy is headed for the Premier League and in general, he’s destined for the very top of the game.
Nick Mashiter is one of the best sources for accurate Norwich transfer talk, proven over the last couple of transfer windows, and he used his Twitter account to tweet the following on Tuesday lunchtime.

It’s not going to be a question of “if” but when Maddison is sold and it makes sense that the Foxes would be interested.
Riyad Mahrez appears on the verge of a £60m move to Manchester City and there’s been plenty of speculation already, reporting that Maddison is wanted at the King Power Stadium as Mahrez’s replacement.
Being a Coventry lad, if he were to play his football in the Midlands, near to friends and family, as well as in the Premier League, I imagine that would tick a lot of boxes.
