Alex Neil says that he’s expecting a really difficult game as City take on Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

‘They’re a team that is going to be scrapping for every point they can,’ reports the Burton Mail

‘They’re a squad that works incredibly hard and makes it difficult for you, and obviously they managed to beat Wolves at home recently so it shows it’s going to be a difficult venue.

‘We’re going to have to make sure that we do all the physical side of the game, do it again. They create that siege mentality and it’s really quite easy to do that at small grounds.

‘The fans will be right behind them because based on the budget they’ve got, they’ve done extremely well being in the posiiton they’re in, and they’ll want to improve that. I think it’s going to be a really difficult game.’

It’s a bit of a cliche and one that Neil has used before but City need to earn the right to play and that means doing the physical stuff well, before hopefully being able to employ a decent passing game.

‘They’re a wholehearted squad and they’ll give it their all,’ Neil added. ‘They’ve got bits of quality throughout that as well.

‘A few guys who played in the Premier League are there – the likes of Michael Kightly and Lloyd Dyer are there. They’ve got guys capable of hurting you if you’re not at it.

‘It’s important we takre all our attitude, commitment and work ethic that we’ve shown in recent weeks into this game. Hopefully we can get the ball down and play and not only that, get the right to play.

‘We’re going to have to win our individual duels and if we do that then it sets us up to hopefully go on and try to win the game.’
