Alex Neil refused to admit or deny any interest in Sporting Lisbon defender, Marvin Zeegelaar but he did say that there had been no interest in Alex Pritchard, when he spoke with the media at Colney, this lunchtime.

Various reports, mostly in Portugal have suggested that a deal has been agreed with Sporting for a £4m+ fee for Dutch left back, Zeegelaar and that he could fly to Norwich as soon as today to complete that move.

Talking about the rumoured deal though, Neil was coy when he spoke to the EDP

“If the deal had been done we would be talking about it now and you would be the first to know. Nothing has been finalised with anything,” said Neil.

“We have a whole host of targets we are looking at. I am not going to confirm whether he is one or not but we are looking at players on that left side with Martin`s departure and the amount of speculation surrounding Robbie (Brady). It is only natural we would be looking for left-sided players.’

In recent days, there have been transfer gossip rumours regarding Alex Pritchard, something that Neil was quick to dismiss.

“No, there is nothing in that. Absolutely not,” he said. “We have had no interest for him from anyone. In terms of Robbie the same as midweek with him. Exactly the same. There have been no enquiries from Bournemouth. At this stage of the window things start to gather pace. Whether there is movement in or out before the end, the market in the last day or two will go berserk. It always does. Clubs start to scramble about and try to spend money they do not have. I think it is going to be busy.’

So, as far as Robbie Brady goes it’s no change and there have been no enquiries or bids for Alex Pritchard. Marvin Zeegelaar though, that, I wouldn’t mind betting is looking very likely.
