Dario Gradi is said to have given permission for the player to speak to the Canaries and believes that despite not playing for the previous few weeks because of injury, Ostemobor has shown that he is a quality player.
Gradi said: “Jon will be on his way at the end of the season and I think he could go to Norwich. They have asked if they can speak to him, so perhaps it is all done and dusted. Although he has been out of the side, I think enough people have seen him play well and would take a chance on him, as he is free.”
Ostemobor is a defender who started his career at Liverpool, where he made only six first team appearances. The 24-year-old then had loan spells at Hull and Bolton before signing for Crewe in January 2006.
He operates mainly at right back, which is a position which we do need to strengthen in. Jurgen Colin has fallen out of favour and I don`t believe for a second that Andy Hughes will be our first choice full back. Grant s making his intentions clear in the transfer market, Ostemobor could be the first signing in a very busy summer.
