Norwich Finally Sign Starlet Winger

|

Norwich City have finally completed the signing of Aidan Fitzpatrick from Partick Thistle, the club have announced.

This is a deal that the Canaries have been trying to achieve for most of the summer, also making an attempt to sign the 18-year-old winger last January but considering it was his breakthrough season, Partick Thistle rejected the January offers.

A couple of days ago, Partick made the unusual step of making a statement about young Aidan, in which they announced that despite their best efforts to persuade him to stay in Scotland they had reluctantly accepted a bid from Norwich City.

The fee is, of course, undisclosed, but widely reported as being in the region of £350k plus considerable add-ons and also includes a sell-on fee.

Aidan made 30 appearances for Partick last season, providing seven assists and scoring four goals in the SPL. He is widely acknowledged as being one of Scotland’s brightest young talents and will join up with the U23s for the coming season.

Welcome to Norwich, Aidan!

Nice training top, as well.
