Norwich City have belatedly apologised for their pricing structure in terms of Saturday`s 3rd round FA Cup draw with Southampton, a game that saw a crowd of just 12,479.

The club announced ticket prices for the replay at St. Mary`s on Wednesday 18th January with the Saints setting adult ticket prices at just £12. If you were going to travel by a Norwich City club coach then the original price was £33.00.

Today though, the club have issued an apology over the pricing structure and are now offering free coach travel for the replay.

‘The club is proud to stand on its own two feet financially but this does require that we maintain a delicate balance between generating revenue to support the strongest squad possible and also providing the fairest prices for our loyal supporters.

Based on supporter feedback and the low attendance, we got that balance wrong with the prices we set for our FA Cup game against Southampton on Saturday and we apologise for that.

The Board have taken the decision to offer free coach travel to St Mary`s for our important replay against the Saints and we hope as many City fans as possible will make the journey to cheer on the team.’
