Both Derby County and Norwich City are keeping tabs on Wigan Captain, Sam Morsy with a view to making a move in January, reports the Daily Mail
The 26 year old midfielder joined Wigan in 2016 and has made 45 appearances, scoring 4 goals. He spent last season on loan at Barnsley and is an Egyptian international, courtesy of his Egyptian father.
A check of the internet sees him described as “an enforcer” who relies on his ability to time tackles and break-up play.
With Alex Tettey and Tom Trybull both currently out injured another central midfielder would be handy tonight but in the longer term, Louis Thompson should hopefully return from injury to become a good player.
