Norwich City have agreed a deal to sign Dagenham & Redbridge Striker, Mason Bloomfield this summer, as reported by the club

The 21 year old will join when the transfer window opens and will link up with the Development squad.

The lad has just 2 goals in 18 National League games this season but scored in the Daggers` 3-1 defeat to West Ham in a find raising friendly on Wednesday evening and by all accounts is progressing quickly.

The bottom line here is that Mason Bloomfield is not going to be setting the Championship on fire next season, at least it`s highly unlikely that he will anyway. I`ve added that caveat just in case, don`t want to make any predictions about eating hats or anything.

It looks like the club are taking a chance at relatively low risk with players like this or Pierre Fonkeu, Adam Phillips etc, in the hope of unearthing a gem.

They`ve been able to do that with Tom Trybull from Germany, so fingers crossed that one of these acquisitions will come good.

We live in hope.

Anyway, welcome aboard Mason.
