Norwich City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Nelson Oliveira in the three nil victory over Derby County on Monday at Carrow Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Oliveira was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘One of three hat-trick heroes to take his place in our selection, Oliveira hit the perfect treble against Derby County. The Portuguese front man opened the scoring with his left, and glanced home a second before firing home the third with a right-footed strike from outside the box.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Oliveira for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Jak Alnwick (Port Vale), Amari’i Bell (Fleetwood Town), Chey Dunkley (Oxford United), Christian Burgess (Portsmouth), Kieron Freeman (Sheffield United), Brennan Dickenson (Colchester United), Oliver Rathbone (Rochdale), Pawel Wszolek (Queens Park Rangers), Nelson Oliveira (Norwich City), Josh Magennis (Charlton Athletic), Ollie Watkins (Exeter City).

Manager – Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe Wanderers).
