Reading v Norwich Rate The Players

|

Well, what did you make of that?

A fairly decent away performance, I thought. An early goal from our in-form striker, Teemu Pukki rocked the home side back on their heels and got the crowd on their backs.

Talking of the crowd, I know this game was on Sky Sports’ red button but even so, it was only 12,822 and that’s surely not enough to keep a club like Reading alive, is it?

Norwich did allow Reading back into the game via a scrappy goal when Bodvarsson bundled the ball home, in off a post and possibly a couple of players, in the 72nd minute. It gave the Royals and their fans hope and it probably produced a sense of “here we go again” within the Canary faithful. I know I felt it but then, enter super Mario Vrancic just one minute later.

Mario’s turn and low driven shot left Walker standing still and sent the away fans into raptures of joy.

“You’re always most vulnerable after scoring a goal.”

It finished 1-2 and there were plenty of positives to take out of the game, not least another three points.

As usual, here’s your chance to rate the players via the Vital Rating Widget.

So light up the stars, or not. You decide…
