THE FUTURE’S BLEAK looks back over the Arsenal game, and ahead to Saturday’s clash with QPR.

Another game, another blunder. Well, blunder sounds a bit harsh. Another moment of indecision taking him, and us, down a blind alley. It’s difficult not to yearn for a solid, level head to drop into the back four to keep our defenders in a line, but they’re rarer than rare. Just ask Arsene, Andre and Alex.

But we can’t really grumble. It was undeserved after Martin’s heroics. *Insert your own pants superhero joke here.* But hey, a 1-2 is nothing to be ashamed against a resurgent, Van Persie led Arsenal. We also only dropped one goal, and how important could goal difference be come May. Plus the battering is still reserved for Man City, at least it ain’t Bolton, eh?

Not that I want them to batter us, but if anyone was to batter us I’d feel much better if Silva, Aguero, Super Mental Mario and co. did it than any of them around us.

We all know Coo-pee-arr is the biggest game out the batch of three anyway. Especially since if we win, they can’t pass go and collect three points. Other teams not picking up points is more important than what we do given our good start.

We have points on the board, a buffer of sorts to the bottom three. Not that I’m feeling comfortable, mind. We’re only just over a quarter of the way through.

That also means we have plenty of time to find a bit of rhythm, something we’ve lacked over the past few games.
