Savvy on the news that Jacob Butterfield will remain with Bolton until the New Year…

Despite rumours that City were expecting Jacob Butterfield to return to the club after the weekend, it has been confirmed that the midfielder has had his loan extended for another month at Bolton.

Butterfield has played four games for Bolton including two substitute appearances, and was an unused substitute at the weekend when another City loanee James Vaughan scored a late equaliser for Huddesfield against Bolton.

Butterfield will likely be in Lancashire until New Year’s Day, when Bolton travel to Leeds United. He is unlikely to be given permission to take part in Bolton’s FA Cup 3rd Round game on January 5th.
