The Tuckster with the news that City have announced the signing of Norwegian International, Alexander Tettey…

Norwich City have tonight announced the signing of Norwegian International midfielder, Alexander Tettey.

Tettey arrives on a two year deal with an option for a third, from French club Rennes for the now familiar undisclosed fee.

He is 26 years old and described as a defensive midfielder. He made 82 appearances for Rennes during his three year stay and has 14 full International caps.

Although originally born in Ghana, Tettey is a naturalised Norwegian and has represented his country at under 18, 19, 21 as well as at senior level.

This arrival has been a little under the radar with Tettey`s name only being mentioned in the last 36 hours or so on rumour sites.

This brings the number of Hughton`s summer signings to seven and we now clearly have a glut of midfielders.

Another name mentioned very strongly today is that of Argentinian International midfielder, Lucas Biglia. Biglia is Anderlecht`s captain and seems to have a very good pedigree indeed. A very classy sounding player that I would love to see in a canary shirt – Sky Sports report that we are in talks about a season long loan.

But how many more midfielders will we sign? Surely a few existing players would have to move on should Biglia also arrive.

James Vaughan`s loan move to Huddersfield today also brings another question about our striking options. I am slightly surprised Vaughan has gone as he has had such a promising pre-season but he has been constantly linked with other clubs so this isn`t such a huge shock.

The question though is who will replace him? Martin and Jackson are not quite good enough at this level, in my opinion, so surely we will replace Vaughan.
Jordan Rhodes maybe?

The transfer window has just under a week before it closes – things are starting to get very interesting.
