Half The Team Of The Week Are Canaries As Another Is Nominated For PFA Player Of The Month

|

Well, I say “half the team of the week” it’s actually only four but even so, that’s really not too shabby, is it?!

As you can see, according to @WhoScored, Tim Krul was chosen as the goalkeeper, which considering that his team won 0-4, is again not too shabby. He made some decent saves and has come on leaps and bounds since the start of the season. The double save he made against Brentford last week was evidence of shaking off the rust.

I think we can all agree that Max Aarons had a terrific game against the Owls and is run and cross for the third goal, interchanging with Vrancic on the way was sensational. He’s made himself the first choice right back in a matter of months.

Emi Buendia is another player who has slotted into the team seamlessly and has adapted to English football way quicker than I expected. That alone is a credit to him.

Emi has now started adding goals to his game along with a streak of tenaciousness and hard as nails tackles. He’s rapidly becoming a big fan favourite.

As for Teemu Pukki, what can you say?

He misses three games and comes back with a brace, displaying the predatory instinct that has bagged him 7 goals in 13 appearances. Better than 1 in 2. If he keeps that up then he’ll be in the team of the season.

Teemu also made the EFL Team Of The week, although that only has one Canary in it…

In other news, Tim Klose has been nominated for the PFA Player Of The Month award.

Timm played every minute of City’s five league games in October and scored three goals too, helping City to climb up the league.

Our super Swiss international is up against Lukas Jutkiewicz (Birmingham City), Joe Lolley (Nottingham Forest), Jota (Birmingham City), Billy Sharp (Sheffield United) and Geoff Cameron (QPR).
