Plymouth Argyle have announced that Remi Matthews has joined them on loan from Norwich City for the rest of the season, in a rather amusing way.
Using their official twitter account @Only1Argyle, the Pilgrims first tweeted:
“STATEMENT: we are aware of increasing rumours and speculation on social media regarding Remi Matthews. We would like to confirm that, officially, that Remi will NOT be joining Argyle in January. #pafc”
That was then followed immediately by another tweet:
“?because he`s already back! #pafc ‘incoming!”
Oh you wags!
Remi will resume his Argyle career in Saturday`s final game of 2017 against Blackpool.
