Norwich Announce Striker Signing

|

Norwich City have announced the signing of another young striker in the shape of Kole Lambert from Northern Premier Division side, Basford United.

The 18-year-old has completed a successful trial with the Canaries which took in appearances against both West Ham United and Reading in the Under 18 Premier League.

Lambert was previously with both the Notts County and Nottingham Forest academies and will no doubt join the U18 team before potentially looking to the U23s and beyond if he can cut the mustard. He will have seen the route to the first team that Max Aarons, Jamal Lewis, Ben Godfrey and Todd Cantwell have all taken recently and be keen to follow it, just like every other youngster in the academy.

The route is there to take and Daniel Farke is ready and willing to prove that if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.

City added to the academy earlier this week with the signings of defender,  Akin Famewo and striker Gassan Ahadme which you can read about here.

Welcome to Norwich, Kole!
