Norwich City have completed the signing of winger Onel Hernandez from Eintracht Braunschweig, the club have announced

Hernandez has signed a three and a half year deal for the usual “undisclosed fee” although a fee of £1.7m was widely reported around a week ago.

The signing comes after the player was captured in a photograph by a City fan having a meeting with Daniel Farke in December. Farke tried to brush off the suggestion the meeting was with a view to signing the Cuban born German, with Eintracht clearly not being happy that their player had been to England to meet another club during the German winter break.

Then, it was announced this week by Eintracht Sporting Director Marc Arnold, that Hernandez was being distracted by the Norwich interest and not fit to play.

The good news now though, is that this transfer is over the line and the lad is in the building.

Welcome to Norwich, Onel.
