Norwich Legend Is Having West Brom Medical Today

|

Norwich City legend, Wes Hoolahan is set to undertake a medical at West Bromwich Albion today, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The 36-year-old left Carrow Road in May after ten years in yellow and green, seemingly surplus to requirements in Daniel Farke’s squad.

Now though, after spending last week training with the Baggies, Wessi is reportedly about to sign for Darren Moore’s side on a short-term deal, most likely until the end of the season.

Wes retired from international football last February with 40 odd caps, having been criminally underused by several Ireland managers, most notably Giovanni Trapattoni.

Leaving Norwich was something we all knew was coming but now he’s actually left and it looks as though he’s about to ply his trade at The Hawthorns, I can’t help but feel a little disappointed.

The prospect of Hoolahan lining up against Norwich later in the season is distinctly unpalatable to me.

Wes was also joined in training with the Baggies last week by Russell Martin. No word yet on whether he too will be joining West Brom.
