Teemu Pukki was withdrawn last night during Finland’s 2-0 win over Greece for precautionary reasons only it seems, according to a series of reports this morning.
Pukki has been a huge reason as to why Norwich City have got themselves into the early season promotion shake-up with 9 goals in 16 games for both club and country. He’s got the knack of being in the right place at the right time and has 6 goals in Norwich City colours, so any lengthy absence could be a big issue for the Canaries, who still aren’t prolific in front of goal.
This morning though, Twitter user Riku Vihreasaari has tweeted the following:
After the game Finland's gaffer said his leg just cramped up and was withdrawn to avoid more serious injury. Sounded like he'd be good to go at least in limited capacity against Forest.

There are also some direct quotes from Teemu himself, being reported in Finnish newspaper, Iltalehti and reported by the EDP.
“It went when Jasse Tuominen played the ball through. I stopped and felt it a little, something perhaps went then. It was annoying that I wasn’t able to continue but I have never really had a muscular injury (like this) in my career before. It’s frustrating but these things happen in football, I’ll come back from this.”
“I know we have top-of-the-line backroom staff (at Norwich), so they will patch me up.”
It’s sounding like this injury is not too bad, cue sighs of relief from the entire Canary nation.
