Russell Martin has joined Glasgow Rangers on loan until the end of the season Norwich City have announced
The 32 year old has had a mixed season so far, having been named Captain by Daniel Farke and also signing a new two year deal in pre-season.
However, after a poor defensive start to the season, culminating in the 4-0 loss at Millwall, Russ hasn`t played since. He was out for a while with injury but since getting fit again, he`s not been in Farke`s plans.
The role that Martin has played in his 308 appearances for the Canaries shouldn`t be overlooked. He joined as a right back and has seen three promotions and two relegations and he also has a club record 125 appearances in the Premier League.
He`s not been the same player since he lost that yard of pace that allowed him to play at full back. As a centre back he`s not been great but we have a lot to thank Russ for and I wish him all the best.
