Midfielder Dean Marney has seen his loan deal to Norwich cut short having sustained a ruptured Achilles tendon in their 1-0 loss v Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The 21 year old is expected to be out of action for around three months. Nigel Worthington said on their official site: ‘It’s very disappointing and frustrating both for the player and for myself. Dean is an excellent young midfielder who is always willing to learn and improve. He will now go back to Spurs for treatment by their team and Norwich City will be there to provide any help and support required.’
