Swansea City will be without influential midfielder, Tom Carroll for this weekend’s clash with Norwich City at the Liberty Stadium according to Swans’ manager, Graham Potter.
The former Tottenham playmaker has suffered a recurrence of a hip problem and will obviously be missed in the midfield engine room but other than that, Potter has no fresh injury worries.
Midfielder, Bersant Celina is fit to play despite a groin problem with centre back, Joe Rodon also likely to feature after an ankle problem.
Just like the Canaries, Swansea have suffered no fresh injuries during the international break as Potter told his club’s official website.
“Tom has had a bit of a setback with his hip. We are probably looking at next week for him – he won’t be available for Saturday,” Potter said.
“But Bersant is fine. He has trained well and will be okay.
“It’s the same with Joe. He rolled his ankle at the back-end of the Bolton game but he will be fine.”
There is also the prospect of Norwich having to contend with big reputation striker, Wilfried Bony who is continuing his return to first team football after a nine-month lay-off.
You will remember Bony as a prolific, powerful goal scorer who bagged 26 goals in 54 games during his first spell at Swansea before making an £18m move to Manchester City in 2015. Things didn’t go so well at the Etihad Stadium though with just 6 goals coming in 36 appearances.
A loan to stoke City followed before Bony returned to Swansea for a reported £12m in 2017, scoring twice in 16 appearances before an ankle injury struck. He made his first team return as a late substitute against Bolton last week but seems likely to face Norwich at some point during the proceedings.
