19 year old striker Ryan Jarvis may just have forced his way into contention for this weekends game after impressing in the second half against Luton.

Norwich lost 4-2 but Jarvis scored his first senior goal for the club.

Nigel Worthington is now considering giving the teenage sensation his first start, adding that with the players contract ending in the summer, it is ‘now or never’.

‘We throw him on Tuesday night and his 45 minutes was very good. He’s in the last year of his contract, even though there’s a further year option for the Club. It’s come to the stage where he’s got to make his mark.’

Another Academy youngster was also given a squad number and travelled with the team. With injuries kicking in, Norwich may well be forced to turn to even more youth players.

Worthington told the official site ‘It’s nice to include the youngsters and give them the experience. That was a nice reward for Michael and he enjoyed it. He’s very young but he’s a lovely size and is not phased by anything. He’s got to keep that going.’
