No matter how long it takes, Nigel Worthington usually gets his man

Colin Cameron

Many will know that Nigel Worthington usually gets his man. Maybe not straight away, but eventually his target ends up playing for Norwich City.

Take Jonatan Johansson, for example. He was a target when we were promoted and he ended up here on loan last season. With his being a free agent at the moment, who is to say that he will not be signed in time for pre-season training?

And what about Peter Thorne? Or Darren Ward or Dickson Etuhu? And there are more…

Interestingly, Worthington declared an interest in Colin Cameron a while back. And Cameron is leaving Wolves after his contract didn’t match his expectations.

There are stories that Micky Adams is after him, but it is probable that the 35 year old Scot would want to move away from the area, as Wolves fans are not the most forgiving…

Then Cardiff City are in the frame, as well. Would the 5ft 5in midfielder wish a reunion with Dave Jones?

He will be aware of Worthington’s interest and will only have heard good reports about Norwich from fellow Scottish Internationals, Gary Holt and Malky McKay. That would give all the indications that Cameron would wish to see out his playing career in Norfolk.

So, look forward to him changing the hue of his strip from gold to yellow in the weeks ahead.
