Could City legend Holt finally be on his way?

Various media sources (including Sky Sports News) are reporting that Wigan have agreed a fee with us for Grant Holt.

There was rumours of a £1.5m bid from Wigan being rejected on Thursday, and then in the last couple of days the Skybet odds of Wigan being Holt’s next club shorted to 1/5, before being suspended today.

Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer said: ‘We had to pull the plug on Holt’s market due to the sheer volume of bets we we’ve taken on.

‘Our customers have been queuing up to back the move (Wigan), which was an even-money price just two days ago and as long as 8/1 last week.’

Now Grant Holt has been linked with just about everyone this summer, but the bookies are not normally this wrong.

With Arouna Kone close to signing for Everton, Wigan seem to be immediately trying to secure a replacement striker.
